Lunch with Santa

Today was the day! We finally got up close and personal with Santa again. I had high hopes that we'd get that beautiful smiling photograph, but realistically knew better. This year she is fascinated with Santa. She loves pictures and cartoons and Santa decorations...but bring in a live man in a red suit...NO WAY!!! She immediately ran for Mommy. The beauty of lunch with Santa was that its supposed to provide some time for the kiddos to warm up to the jolly old man. After the kids finished their lunches (sonic wacky pack meals) they sang songs with Santa and then read a story.

But now its time for the big stuff...time to sit in his lap for a picture. We were on the side of the room with only one other family beside us so they decided to start where we were. Which didn't give Em much time to realize what was going on, but our little friend Parker was NOT thrilled with Santa. Seeing one kiddo cry in his lap was enough to set the mood, lol.

Luckily there was still fun to be had after we saved her from Santa. They decorated cookies and played with their friends. It was a good time and well worth the whopping $10 we spent!!!

So compared to last years complete hysterics, this year was more successful. Maybe by next year we'll be able to get a good Santa picture. Or...maybe NOT!
